Privacy Policy (English)

This Privacy Policy explains how Teciora ("we", "us") handles your information when you use the Mood-Ring Weather mobile application (the "App"). Our design principle is simple: the App should know as little about you as possible while still working well.

1. Summary (TL;DR)

We use your location only minimally. To show the weather where you are, your device sends approximate coordinates (rounded to about 1 km) directly to our weather data provider, Open-Meteo. These weather requests do not pass through our servers.
To send emergency safety alerts (heat, strong wind, heavy snow) for your area, we store one approximate position, rounded to about 10 km, on our server. It is overwritten when it changes. We do not keep a history of where you have been.
When you search for a place, the text you type is sent directly from your device to Open-Meteo's place-search service. We do not receive or store your searches.
Your personal comfort data (calibration feedback such as "too hot / just right / too cold", sensitivity profile, comfort records), your saved places and your settings are stored on your device and are not sent to our servers. They may be included in your phone's own backup if you have turned it on (see §5).
We use no advertising ID, no ads SDK, and no third-party analytics SDK.
You sign in anonymously (a random ID). We do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number.
You can delete your data at any time in Settings → Privacy → Delete my data. This erases the data the App stores on your device and deletes your notification and subscription records on our servers. The few records that are kept, or that expire on their own, are listed in §5.

2. Information We Process

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

No name, email address, phone number, contacts, or photos

No search history on our side
No health or medical records (your comfort feedback stays on your device and is not health data we receive)

4. Services That Receive Data

We use only the services needed to run the App, and only for the minimum described above:

Each service handles the data it receives under its own terms; for example, Open-Meteo's terms are at open-meteo.com/en/terms. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

On your device: data the App stores on your device (calibration, comfort records, settings, saved places, language choice and, on Android, the live-wallpaper state) remains until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App.
Phone backups: if backup is turned on on your phone (Android backup to your Google Account, or iCloud Backup), the data the App stores on your device may be included in that backup and restored to a new phone. That backup is managed by Google or Apple under your account; we cannot access it.
On our servers: your emergency-alert subscription record (push token, rounded coordinates, platform, language) is kept until you delete it in the App. It is replaced whenever it changes. If the push service tells us the token is no longer valid (for example after you uninstall the App), we delete the record. A record that has not been refreshed for 90 days is no longer used to send alerts. Alert delivery records are deleted automatically after at most 18 hours. Your subscription entitlement record and subscription event log are kept for accounting and billing enquiries.
Settings → Privacy → Delete my data deletes, immediately: (i) your emergency-alert subscription record (push token, rounded coordinates, platform, language), (ii) your subscription-entitlement record, and (iii) all data the App stores on your device (calibration, comfort records, settings, saved places and, on Android, the live-wallpaper state). It also tries to revoke your push token and delete your anonymous account. If something cannot be deleted (for example, when you are offline), the App tells you so. If you keep using the App afterwards, it starts again with a new anonymous ID.
The in-app deletion does not remove the alert delivery records, which contain no location and are deleted automatically after at most 18 hours. It also does not remove the subscription event log or copies held by others (purchase records at Apple, Google and RevenueCat, your phone backups, and requests already received by the services in §4). If your Plus subscription is still active, the store and RevenueCat may notify us again and the entitlement record may be re-created; cancel the subscription in your store settings first if you want to stop this. To ask us to remove the subscription event log, contact us (§13).
Uninstalling the App without using the deletion function removes only the data on your device; your subscription record stays on our servers until the push service reports the token as invalid, or until you ask us to remove it.
Purchase records are retained by Apple/Google/RevenueCat as required for accounting and legal obligations.

6. Legal Bases (EEA/UK — GDPR)

Performance of contract (Art. 6(1)(b)): fetching weather, place search, emergency alerts, subscription management
Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)): service security, abuse prevention, avoiding duplicate alerts, and the technical operation of the services we rely on
Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)): OS-level location permission and notification permission, which you may revoke at any time in system settings

You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Because we hold only an anonymous ID, exercising these rights is easiest via the in-app deletion function; otherwise contact us at contact@teciora.com.

7. Region-Specific Notices

Japan (APPI): We handle the above data as described and provide deletion via the App. Requests: contact@teciora.com.
California (CCPA/CPRA): We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA. You may request deletion as described above.
China (PIPL): If the App is offered in mainland China, separate consent and data-localization requirements will be assessed before launch.

8. International Transfers

The services in §4 may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States and the European Union. Where the law requires it, transfers rely on safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses in the providers' data-processing terms.

9. Children

The App is a general-audience weather app and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; since we collect no name, email, or precise location, exposure is minimal.

10. Security

All network communication is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Server-side data is stored on infrastructure with encryption at rest (Google Cloud / Cloudflare). Access is restricted to what notification delivery and subscription management require. We do not write your coordinates to our server logs.

11. Important Disclaimers (Safety & Health)

Heat-related alerts in the App are our own estimates computed from weather data; they are not official meteorological-agency alerts. Strong-wind and heavy-snow alerts are likewise the App's own determination. Always refer to official sources (e.g., JMA / Ministry of the Environment in Japan) for final decisions.
Comfort scores and the other indicators in the App are informational, not medical advice.

12. Changes to This Policy

We will post any changes here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will also be announced in the App or in the App's release notes.

本プライバシーポリシーは、Teciora(以下「当方」)が、モバイルアプリ「Mood-Ring Weather」(以下「本アプリ」)においてお客様の情報をどのように取り扱うかを説明するものです。設計原則はひとつ——アプリが快適に動作するために必要な最小限しか、あなたのことを知らないこと。

1. 要約

位置情報は最小限: 現在地の天気を表示するため、端末は約 1 km に丸めたおおよその座標を、気象データ提供元の Open-Meteo へ直接送ります。この天気の取得は当方のサーバーを経由しません。
お住まいの地域の緊急通知(熱中症・暴風・大雪)を送るため、約 10 km に丸めたおおよその位置を 1 点だけ当方のサーバーに保存します。位置が変わると上書きします。位置の履歴は保持しません。
地名を検索すると、入力した文字が端末から Open-Meteo の地名検索へ直接送られます。当方は検索内容を受け取らず、保存もしません。
体感データ(「暑かった/ちょうど/寒かった」のフィードバック、感受性プロファイル、体感記憶)、保存した地点、設定は端末内に保存し、当方のサーバーには送りません。端末のバックアップを有効にしている場合は、そのバックアップに含まれることがあります(§5)。
広告 ID・広告 SDK・第三者アナリティクス SDK は不使用。
ログインは匿名(ランダムな ID)。氏名・メールアドレス・電話番号は収集しません。
設定 › プライバシー › データを削除から、いつでもデータを削除できます。本アプリが端末内に保存したデータと、当方のサーバーにある通知購読・サブスクリプションの記録を消去します。保持する記録・期限まで残る記録は §5 のとおりです。

各サービスは、受け取ったデータをそれぞれの規約に基づいて取り扱います(例: Open-Meteo の規約は open-meteo.com/en/terms)。お客様のデータを販売しません。広告事業者・データブローカーへの提供も行いません。

5. 保存期間と削除

端末内: 本アプリが端末内に保存したデータ(キャリブレーション、体感記憶、設定、保存した地点、言語設定、Android ではライブ壁紙の状態)は、アプリ内で削除するかアンインストールするまで端末に残ります。
端末のバックアップ: 端末のバックアップ(Android の Google アカウントへのバックアップ、iCloud バックアップ)を有効にしている場合、本アプリが端末内に保存したデータがそのバックアップに含まれ、新しい端末に復元されることがあります。バックアップはお客様のアカウントのもとで Google・Apple が管理しており、当方は見ることができません。
当方のサーバー: 緊急通知の購読の記録(プッシュトークン、丸めた座標、端末の種類、言語)は、アプリ内で削除するまで保持し、内容が変わるたびに置き換えます。プッシュ配信の仕組みからトークンが無効になったと通知された場合(アンインストール後など)は、記録を削除します。90 日間更新のない記録は、通知の送信に使いません。通知の送信記録は最長 18 時間で自動的に消えます。購読の権利の記録と購読イベントの記録は、会計と課金のお問い合わせへの対応のために保持します。
設定 › プライバシー › データを削除を実行すると、ただちに次を削除します。(i) 緊急通知の購読の記録(プッシュトークン、丸めた座標、端末の種類、言語)、(ii) サブスクリプションの権利の記録、(iii) 本アプリが端末内に保存したすべてのデータ(キャリブレーション、体感記憶、設定、保存した地点、Android ではライブ壁紙の状態)。あわせて、プッシュトークンの無効化と匿名アカウントの削除を試みます。通信できないときなど、削除できなかったものがあればアプリが表示します。その後もアプリを使い続けると、新しい匿名 ID で始まります。
アプリ内の削除では、通知の送信記録は消えません(位置は含まず、最長 18 時間で自動的に消えます)。購読イベントの記録と、ほかの事業者が持つ写し(Apple・Google・RevenueCat の購入記録、端末のバックアップ、§4 のサービスがすでに受け取った問い合わせ)は消えません。Plus の購読が続いている場合、ストアと RevenueCat から再び通知が届き、権利の記録が作り直されることがあります。止めたい場合は、先にストアの定期購入の設定から解約してください。購読イベントの記録の削除は、当方へご依頼ください(§13)。
削除機能を使わずにアンインストールした場合、消えるのは端末内のデータのみです。通知購読の記録は、プッシュ配信の仕組みからトークンの無効が通知されるか、当方へ削除をご依頼いただくまで、サーバーに残ります。
購入記録は、会計・法令上の義務に基づき Apple / Google / RevenueCat が保持します。

6. 法的根拠(EEA/英国 — GDPR)

契約の履行(6 条 1 項 b): 天気の取得、地名検索、緊急通知、購読管理
正当な利益(6 条 1 項 f): セキュリティ、不正利用防止、通知の重複防止、利用するサービスの技術的な運用
同意(6 条 1 項 a): OS の位置情報許可・通知許可(システム設定からいつでも撤回可能)

アクセス・訂正・消去・制限・ポータビリティ・異議の各権利を行使できます。当方は匿名 ID しか保持していないため、最も確実な行使方法はアプリ内の削除機能です。その他のご請求は contact@teciora.com まで。

7. 地域別の通知事項

日本(個人情報保護法): 上記のとおり取り扱い、アプリ内から削除手段を提供します。お問い合わせ: contact@teciora.com
米国カリフォルニア州(CCPA/CPRA): CCPA が定義する「販売」「共有」は行いません。削除請求は上記の方法で可能です。
中国(PIPL): 中国本土で提供する場合、個別同意・データローカライゼーション要件を配信前に別途審査します。

8. 国外移転

§4 のサービスは、米国・欧州連合を含むお客様の国以外でデータを処理する場合があります。法令が求める場合、移転は各社のデータ処理条件に含まれる標準契約条項(SCC)等の保護措置に基づきます。

9. 子どもについて

本アプリは一般向けの天気アプリであり、子ども向けではありません。子どもの個人情報を意図的に収集することはなく、氏名・メール・正確な位置を収集しないため、リスクは最小化されています。

10. セキュリティ

すべての通信は暗号化(HTTPS/TLS)されます。サーバー側データは保存時暗号化を備えたインフラ(Google Cloud / Cloudflare)に保存し、アクセスは通知配信と購読管理に必要な範囲に限定します。お客様の座標を当方のサーバーのログに記録しません。

11. 重要な免責事項(安全・健康)

本アプリの熱中症関連通知は、気象庁・環境省の公式アラートの再配信ではなく、気象データから本アプリが独自に算出した参考情報です。暴風・大雪の通知も同様に本アプリの独自判定です。最終的な行動判断は気象庁・環境省の公式情報をご確認ください。
体感スコアおよび本アプリのその他の指標は情報提供であり、医療アドバイスではありません。

12. 本ポリシーの変更

変更があった場合は本ページに掲示し、最終更新日を更新します。重要な変更は、アプリ内またはアプリの更新内容(リリースノート)でもお知らせします。
